On March 22nd, guided by the News Bureau of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the "2023 Cross Strait New Farmer Township Construction and Innovation Development Forum" was held in Xiamen. The forum was hosted by Baidu Baijia, Haokan Video, Cross Strait TV, Xiamen TV, and Xiamen Software Vocational and Technical College Cross Strait Youth Entrepreneurship College, and co organized by the Huli District Committee Taiwan Hong Kong and Macao Office, Jimei District Committee Taiwan Hong Kong and Macao Office, Haixi MCN Cross Strait Youth Three Innovation Base, and China Green Group.
Over a hundred experts and scholars from both sides of the Taiwan Strait, creators of agriculture, rural areas, Taiwanese enterprises, and media reporters gathered together under the theme of "telling good rural stories and helping rural revitalization". They focused on how to create a cross-strait new farmer exchange and cooperation platform that integrates policy interpretation, technology release, resource promotion, project cooperation, and achievement display, to discuss the development advantages of new agricultural innovation industries and rural revitalization industries, and to discuss new opportunities for the integration and development of rural industries on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
In her speech, Zhu Fenglian, Deputy Director and spokesperson of the News Bureau of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, stated that in recent years, Fujian has been accelerating its efforts to explore new paths for cross-strait integration and development, providing development opportunities and space for Taiwanese compatriots and enterprises to participate in Fujian's rural revitalization, and striving to build the first home for Taiwanese compatriots and enterprises to land.
At the forum, experts and entrepreneurs from universities, institutions, Taiwanese enterprises, and other organizations delivered keynote speeches on topics such as integrated development of rural industries, green finance for agriculture, and youth from both sides of the Taiwan Strait for rural revitalization. A group of creators from Baidu's agriculture, rural areas, and farmers shared their stories of rooting themselves in rural entrepreneurship on site, and held a roundtable discussion on "How content creation can help rural revitalization".
At the meeting, a signing ceremony was also held for the joint construction of the "Cross Strait Rural Talent Head Goose Training Base" by Baidu Baijia Hao, Xiamen Software Vocational and Technical College, and Cross Strait Talent Xiamen Workstation for the Cross Strait Youth Entrepreneurship College. Ten Baidu Three Rural Creators were hired as trainers to establish a regular exchange mechanism between schools, regions, and enterprises on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, promoting agricultural exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.
